Impact Entrepreneurship Group is Canada's leading non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening entrepreneurship and empowering young business leaders in Canada
In 2004, Kunal Gupta, a first-year software engineering student at the University of Waterloo, founded the organization to foster the spirit of entrepreneurship among high school and university students. Since then, Impact has since grown from a conference to an organization with a network of over 10,000 youth.
Impact Microcredit is the first program in Canada that offers high school students¡¯ unrestricted access to the world of entrepreneurship by funding their ideas and fostering innovation with minimal restrictions.

The Microcredit competition encourages students to dream big and maximize their potential.

Created based on the sustainable microfinance model created by Muhammed Yunus, Impact Microcredit is a national competition that gives out microloans to secondary school students, allowing them to run their own business ventures with financial and executive freedom.

To date, Impact Microcredit has reached out to over 300 high schools across Canada, raised over $93,000 for charities and given out over $40,000 in scholarships. Furthermore, the Microcredit competition has received great media recognition from national newspapers, TV stations, radio shows, as well as online blogs and publications.
